STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOESN’T IGNITE

For an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first check if the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas appliances. If the stove is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, that means another part of the oven will need to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or broil and bake element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove that doesn’t heat doesn’t do much good. An oven won’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner won’t heat if an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can repair these common problems in under 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control panel on a stove is broken when the timer or program functions do not work. If that’s the case, we can fix control panels for Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we use for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it might be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen can find the location of the issue and repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter glows but will not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can fix these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door will not open after the oven cleans itself. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door will not open and then we complete the repair so we can correct the issue.
